Hi! My name is Melanie Snider! And yes! Im Canadian through and through eh? I grew up in a small town, went to school in a small school, and have a small family. BUT! Dont be fooled, I am not necessarily small...I come from a very tall family. I have two loving parents and an older brother.I enjoy music, its part of my family heritage. I play piano,guitar and sing. I enjoy leading a worship team in my church, its something Im very passionate about. I decided after High School to further my musical abilities. So I went to a Bible College in Saskatchewan called Briercrest for a year and a half. It was a good, yet hard experience for me. I found the Bible and music classes matured me in many ways, but into my second year I realized that this wasnt really what I wanted to be doing with my life. We had a week at Briercrest called missions week, and people would come and talk about different organizations they were involved with and where they had gone. I felt God was speaking to me during that week, and he told me I needed to go home and somehow get involved with missions, because this was always something I wanted to do, but never really knew where to start. So I went home...a very tough decision, but God has been right by my side the whole way. I have been working for almost a year now at home trying to pay off my loans, and now that I am finally getting ahead of them one of my friends who was involved with AIM gave me some info. I was excited, because I felt like this was my chance! So I was looking through all the different trips and the one that caught my eye was the trip to Nicaragua in January til April. So here I am!! Letting God lead me! No matter where he leads me my desire is to further his kingdom and give him glory in everything I do! I want to be his hands and feet and spread his light all around the world! And hopefully I can do just that!
